Insurance Coverage

Podiatry is not completely covered by Alberta Health Services, so there may be fees for office visits, services, or medical devices that we provide.

We strongly recommend that you check your extended health benefits plan to see if you have podiatry coverage. Oftentimes, podiatry services and medical devices such as orthotics, ankle braces, or compression stockings are at least partially covered. Knowing your coverage prior to the appointment will help you make an informed decision regarding your treatment plan.

We currently are working on direct billing a few insurance companies, but likely only part of the visit charge will be covered. Otherwise, we provide official receipts and prescriptions for you to submit for reimbursement. If you require any type of prior approval from your insurance company for our services, we will provide you with a letter to submit to them
